This video based lecture series conducted by Professor Richard Garfield, PhD, Columbia University School of Nursing, covers ways to analyze information during major humanitarian emergencies. Professor Garfield discusses how to obtain pre-crisis information, resources for the collection and analysis of information, and methods for determining when qualitative and quantitative data should be incorporated into research. He also highlights the pros and cons of working with data-sets from the World Bank, the IMF, the UN, UNICEF, the US Census, along with several other online resources.
